PEKANA and spagyric remedies
Interview with pharmacist Ralf Oehlmann
Mr. Oehlmann – thank you for taking part in this interview. Could you firstly introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself and your connection to PEKANA?
My name is Ralf Oehlmann. Over recent years I have managed six pharmacies. Initially, in the Hannover area and now also in the Bremen-Oldenburg area. I became familiar with PEKANA in my first year of work. I remember being fascinated with these products from the outset – and how grateful I was to have received a tool of the trade for homeopathic spagyric remedies that is suitable for use during consultations in a pharmacy. And I also remember, just as fondly, my many in-depth telephone calls with the company founder, Dr. Beyersdorff, who never missed an opportunity to personally introduce me, a trainee pharmacist, to the range of PEKANA spagyric remedies. It was this early encounter with PEKANA that motivated me to complete further training and certification in the field of “Naturopathy and Homeopathy”. And the things that appealed to me as a young pharmacist still impress me today: The PEKANA medicines are an essential part of my day-to-day consultations. Of course, my team and I successfully recommend the products to customers in my pharmacies.
So you have been working with PEKANA throughout your professional career. What is special about the spagyric remedies from PEKANA?
It all starts with the unique and gentle manufacturing process, which is also listed in the homeopathic pharmacopoeia. In this process, the distillation process, which is otherwise common, is omitted. By preserving heat-sensitive plant components, the “character” of the plant‘s original composition is preserved in the best possible way. When a medicinal plant is processed at PEKANA, for example, it passes through a large number of processing stations to allow it to release its healing power into the medicine to the fullest extent possible. Interestingly, this also includes fermentation, which breaks down the character of the medicinal plant very effectively. The plant is also incinerated to produce an ashy, mineral substance, parts of which are also added to the medicine. The process is very diverse and complex, but as you can see, it is definitely worthwhile – the customer receives a carefully manufactured and tested product.
What in particular convinces you about these homeopathic spagyric medicines?
Thanks to the procedure I just described, PEKANA medicines are of a very high quality. For my customers, however, there is often something else that counts. They predominantly want a safe therapy with limited side effects, preferably homeopathic/naturopathic, which not only alleviates complaints, but ideally also supports them until their symptoms have completely disappeared. And as a pharmacist, they expect me to guide them through the confusing jungle of naturopathic self-medication. In order to live up to our claim of providing customers with optimal advice in this area as well, as a healthcare professional I need a product range that lets me cover as many indications as possible, and which I can also combine with other medicines if necessary. The PEKANA product range meets these requirements in a special way. It is not too broad and is easy to explain to customers, covering all major application areas in both acute and chronic cases. Which is why it is a popular “tool of the trade” among my staff.
Can you give us examples in which areas you personally use PEKANA medicines to treat your complaints?
Sure, the best place to start is with my own children. They have grown up with PEKANA, ever since their first teething problems. I also used PEKANA medicines for all kinds of infections, particularly for earache, which is common among children. From stomach complaints and nausea to fevers, relief for sore throats or to treat the various stages of a cold – PEKANA‘s wide product range covers a very broad application spectrum and is ideal for your medicine cabinet at home. Other PEKANA products, however, can provide targeted treatment in cases of chronic illness. I also value the fact that PEKANA offers its own “detoxification and release” products, which help us to reintroduce even “therapy failures” to the field of homeopathic treatment.
As a pharmacist, how do you explain the efficacy of PEKANA medicines?
This is due in part to their innovative manufacturing process and also to their composition. In most cases, a single product contains eight carefully coordinated pharmaceutical substances in different concentration levels. The ingredients are selected in such a way that not only addresses the main indication, but also any accompanying symptoms. The individual products therefore have a well-designed spectrum of activity. All in all, the homeopathic spagyric medicines provide us with a reliable tool that has become an essential part of our daily work. And I am very grateful for this!
